Birds of Huntley Meadows Park - Mar 2010

These are all quite moving. I am making this comment on the one with the single gull pecking at one of two small stumps sticking out of the water. The details captured in this one are wonderful....the ripples in the water surrounding the gull as well as water further out , the reflection of the gull and the stumps, the textures of the gull's feathers, the soft blue background with the white, gray, brown, and black of the subjects.
